Celebrated native Long Island chef and restaurateur Art Gustafson, who owns popular restaurants Primehouse Steak & Sushi (Garden City), Chadwicks American Chop House & Bar and Salsa Mexicana (Rockville Centre), has expanded his business in Garden City with the opening of Stone Street Wood Fired Grill. Gustafson is thrilled to open his second restaurant in Garden City, noting “we are building a deliciously fun dining experience for people who live and work nearby who want exceptional food and drinks and don’t want to break the bank.”

The show-stopping 1,200 square foot live fire kitchen features a vast wood burning grill and massive rotisserie showcased by marquee lights. Guests can have a bird's eye view of the care and meticulous attention dedicated to Stone Street Wood Fired Grill’s food preparation from the expansive dining room with seating for 150.

Seasoned Long Island chef John Brill will lead the kitchen where casual American fare is reimagined with smoke and fire. Menu highlights include Hawaiian steak and pork chops served sizzling on a cast iron skillet, garlic herb rubbed rotisserie chicken, wood grilled fish, house smoked wings, fall-off-the-bone dinosaur ribs, double stacked burgers and wood grilled pizzas. Oversized salads crowned with house rotisserie chicken as well as vegetarian selections are plentiful.

Adjacent to a retractable garage door, a giant video wall with a state-of-the-art sound system crowns the expansive 26-seat U-shaped fire-torched epoxy bar. The bar program is complemented by 16 craft and imported beers, creative cocktails including alcoholic and non-alcoholic seasonal frozen beverages and a customizable hard soda program.
